Lost sex drive how to get it back?

I had the contraception injection 5 weeks ago and we haven't had sex at all my sex drive has completely gone. I feel bad for my OH as I know he's getting frustrated but I just don't want to do it.

Is their anything I can do or try?

Not get the contraceptive injection again! Never noticed how ‘down’ it made me feel until I came off it x

Ha, at least you have the option of not having the injection again. I’m 49, peri menopausal and my libido has disappeared. Don’t rate the chances of its returning as my youthful hormones won’t return. DH is not complaining yet, but there’s not been much action for a while.

I feel your pain. I have this issue with all hormonal contraceptives, the pill, the mini pill, even the mirena coil. And it takes a long time to feel normal again. For those that think the Mirena is restricted to your reproductive area that is very very wrong. I am VERY sensitive when it comes to hormones. I haven’t had the injection or implant due to the above but I think it’s a case of waiting for it to wear off/come out (whatever happens with what you’ve had). It’s horrible.
