My son lost his blankie on the way back from the hospital, he’s very poorly and has had this blankie from birth, he had it when we put him into the car to go home, but it is not here now...

I’m not really one for wooooo but I’m desperate to find blankie as my son is heartbroken

So please, if anyone can help,

Blankie is cream with a satin trim, and has the logo of his dads football team in the centre...

On the car seat?

BertrandRussell · 13/01/2019 20:12

Search the car with a torch. I’ll be in there somewhere.

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 13/01/2019 20:13

Did you check in the bags? Under the bags? Do you have a pet who might have borrowed it?

Would ds1 have moved/borrowed it?

Babypug · 13/01/2019 20:18

Stop looking and it will turn up - things always find their way of appearing when you stop searching

stayathomegardener · 13/01/2019 20:19

The bin inside and out.

Then drive back to the car park.
Blankies are important especially when not well.

If you’re resorting to the woohoo, Ask St Antony to help you.

Tony, Tony look around.
Something’s lost that must be found.

BertrandRussell · 13/01/2019 20:22

I won’t be in the car-that would be weird. It will be.

DarkStorm · 13/01/2019 20:22

Did he have a coat or sleepsuit thing on and it got stuck in the arm?

ScreamingValenta · 13/01/2019 20:23

I'm not psychic but when I read the description 'cream with a satin trim' I pictured the lost blanket lying under a hedge.

Chocolatepeanuts · 13/01/2019 20:24

I lost my phone the the night, knew it was in the car as could take calls through bluetooth but tore the car apart and could not find it. Eventually my alarm went off the next morning and it was jammed in the hood of the buggy. Any chance?

Morgan12 · 13/01/2019 20:59

Any luck OP?

ssd · 13/01/2019 21:02

Is it behind the couch?

ssd · 13/01/2019 21:03

Or at the foot of his bed, my ds has one like that there

PattiStanger · 13/01/2019 21:05

Definitely use your mum eyes in the car, can you drive somewhere with better lighting - a petrol station?

It can't have disappeared, you are suffering from the thing where what you are trying to find in in front of you but your brain isnt seeing it. I dont know the technical name but I'm convinced it's a thing

Bagadverts · 13/01/2019 21:09

Would a next door neighbour have a larger torch you could borrow. Could they help look so you can concentrate on DC?

SandunesAndRainclouds · 13/01/2019 21:13

Was he in a buggy to go from car to hospital?

cheesywotnots · 13/01/2019 21:18

Has it been put in the coat cupboard or laundry basket

SummerStrong · 13/01/2019 21:26

Was it left in the hospital room? Scooped up with bedding or towels? When the room was cleaned.

Perhaps your DH is remembering it wrong (as putting him in his car seat is something he's done so many times)

Is there any way your DS tucked it under the car seat cover, pushed it into a gap in the seat?

AngelOfDeathNix · 13/01/2019 23:25

Behind the sofa or in the cushions? My friends DD lost her special elephant and they tore the place apart looking for it, went back to the supermarket, put Facebook posts out and the wretched thing appeared the next morning on the sofa!

Moonflower12 · 13/01/2019 23:47

It's fallen under the front seat of the car.

LadyFlumpalot · 13/01/2019 23:51

Hallway/kitchen table.

Bathroom where it was left whilst using the loo.

By the kettle.

Just thinking where things I have in my hand from the car usually get left.

BBInGinDrinking · 14/01/2019 00:01

Mummy eyes and bright light needed, OP. How old is DS?

SilverySurfer · 14/01/2019 00:48

Check any bags you had with you.

I hope you find it.

LittleLannister · 14/01/2019 05:10

DS is 5,

He finally went to sleep, but I spent the evening literally tearing the house apart looking for blankie, with no luck, I’ll be doing the same with the car when DH gets back from work today and in better light, will also take DS’s for a walk to see if it somehow got taken by wind when I was lifting him from the car when we got home, but I don’t think the wind was strong enough for that to happen
