I know everyone is wondering. I saw her at the Oxford Lit Fest about five years ago, and she was talking about The Mirror And The Light, as if it was well under way.Last year in January, she said it would be 2019 now. Have looked at all the forthcoming publishers' lists for this year, and no mention. Anyone with any inside information? So keen to read it!

Following in case anyone has any updates!

I check every few months for a release date. I hope there’s news soon!

I'm desperate to read it. Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies are two of my favourite ever books. I'm always checking Sad

Might have to re-read the other 2 again to keep me going!

I'm halfway through reading them, just finished Wolf Hall and about to start Bring Up The Bodies. So glad there's a third book to look forward to!

I had a look the other week. Nothing apart from anticipated 2019 (wiki).

I adore her writing, properly love it.

Sit tight and we'll be able to devour TMATL eventually.

The audiobooks are brilliant. I hope they do an audiobook of the new one.

Clawdy · 13/01/2019 22:46

I know the online reports say 2019, but it isn't on any of the lists for this year that I've seen. Her publisher would be desperate to give a date if it was ready, knowing how keen we are to read it.

She needs to pull her finger out. Mark Rylance isn't getting any younger Grin

Ah but he ages well like a fine wine. I'm disappointed he doesn't read the audiobook of it, I'd pay money to hear him read the Yellow Pages.

I wish she’d get a bloody move on. Feels like we’ve been waiting for ages.

Every time I hear her on the radio I want to shout "go home and get writing woman"!

It must be terribly hard to have to write about the downfall and execution of Cromwell when she so obviously has tremendous admiration for him.
I will hate to have to read about him writing his letter in which he begs Henry for mercy, when I would rather he had written "Oh DO fuck off you terrible cunt"

"I've carried you and your court for years, you beardy bastard."
