Picked this up in Aldi today for 20p, but not sure what it is.

Nutcracker?

This is why I can't go to Aldi. The pull of the aisle of randomness is too strong. Although not even I'm guilty of buying stuff that I didn't know what it was!!

I thought it was a bottle opener. It looks very similar to one my MIL has as she has arthritis in her hands, and finds it impossible to open wine bottles.

Is it for getting corks out of bottles of sparkling wine? I've stopped buying a certain type of Waitrose Prosecco because I can't get the cork out easily and it's always a worry that any bottle will be 'difficult'.

I might have to look out for one of them myself.

Ah but PickleSarnie, for 20p I didn't really care, knew it'd have to have some use.

Thank you Barbara more uses than I thought.

We have one and whilst it is great for walnuts, hazlenuts are too small. Annoying as fuck

But never knew it had other uses. So won't sling it out just yet.
