Music lovers. If I like Laura Marling...

I've always been a big music lover and have lost my way recently, haven't really been inspired by much in recent years.

My standout artist of the past few years is Laura Marling, I think she is fantastic. I love a good singer songwriter!

If you're a fan of hers, who else do you enjoy listening to? I heard a Bess Atwell track recently and wondered if she might be worth a try...

I love Laura Marling have you listen to The Staves, a group of sisters with mostly gorgeous voices they sing in harmony.

I'm checking out Johnny Flynn. One track and I already know it's exactly the sort of thing I like.

Can't wait to try the other recommendations.

Thanks.

And if anyone wants to recommend anything else I'm all ears. Smile

Noah and the Whale - Laura used to play with Noah and the Whale (they have sadly split up now, but some great catalogue out there)

Also check out...
Beth Orton

Cat Power
Father John Misty
Rae Morris

Have you tried Gregory Alan Isakov or Iron & Wine? I love Laura Marling and have always found them to be somewhat similar.

weebarra · 15/01/2019 16:29

First Aid Kit?

treaclesoda · 15/01/2019 16:35

I love Noah and the Whale, and Father John Misty. Smile Saw him live last year and he was amazing.

But everything else people have suggested here is totally new to me (well, I've heard of Beth Orton but never actually listened to her) so it's always exciting to discover something totally new.

Spotify is earning its keep at the moment Smile
