What can you do if you’re going to miss an extension deadline (uni?)

I got given an extension on an assignment for seven days to due to having disability and MH issues - you’re automatically entitled to them through my uni for a week , just to have fill out a form online .

I’ve been sat since Thursday trying to do this blasted presentation (20 slides) but I’m having an incredibly heavy period (through 2 packets of nighttime pads and 1 of Tena ladies since Friday night) and struggling , spent all day yesterday in bed too dizzy to get up . Spent four hours at out of hours unit on Friday getting injections for sickness and pain relief .

I can probably manage to finish in the next 3 or 4 hours but I am feeling absolutely dreadful , keep having to stop to run to loo or lie down as I’m so sore ... not getting anywhere really just now !

Is there usually a chance of extending an extension or would I be likely to fail outright ?

I would contact your personal tutor or the module leader tomorrow, and ask what you need to do. There should be a process for what the situation is for someone who is going to miss an extension as well as the original deadline. If I read your post correctly, your original extension was "automatic" so I am fairly sure that there will be a way to have that extended, so long as you raise it with a person.

If the deadline is tomorrow, send that email now (even though you won't get a response today) just because it will make you feel better already to put things in progress.

I have given further extensions to extensions to three students already this term. Shit happens, though if they can't meet the new dates, it will trigger other things for them - but this is because they would have not met two revised hand in dates. These "other things" don't include automatically failing the assignment, though, so don't worry!
