For the last 6 mths my period have become so heavy and the pain on a period is nothing I've ever had b4. I'm under gynae now. But I get pain once period has finished it's very low down pain. I also feel the need to go toilet 4 to 5 times a night! If I don't go I'm in a lot of pain. I've not got a uti as doctor checked. Any one suffer like this? It's impacting on my life atm. Any advice would be appreciated tia

I had similar, went to the GP, assuming it was start of menopause and they found big fibroids. One of them subsequently degenerated (who knew that was even a thing?) and it was agony. Gynae suggested hysterectomy (am mid 40s and done having children) and it was the best thing ever. He said otherwise they'd be medicating for years to control them.

They said the fibroid isn't that big so surgery not an option. They are looking at a coil when I see gynae. My periods have never been a problem but now I dread then. I'm just wondering why I'm getting pains after period now!!

I had this but I had adhesions as well as a fibroid. I had the fibroid removed, but still had flooding periods so ended up with a hysterectomy. They didnt find the adhesions until I had surgery.
