I’ve never been a gin person. In fact I can’t stand “which gin is best”debates. I just had a few (large) sips of my raspberry gin. I’m tipsy and it’s delicious 😀😜

You can't be tipsy- most fruit gins are l16- 20%- hardly more than wine- you would need most of the bottle.

Fever has spoken - you CANNOT be tipsy! Grin Welcome to the gin movement OP, I was a late starter too Grin Gin

SpoonBlender · 13/01/2019 01:16

Fever - your gins are clearly rubbish. 38%+ or GTFO round here.

RedTulip86 · 13/01/2019 01:17

But...but... I don’t even LIKE gin. I had 2 ales ( so much for my alcohol intake) and couldn’t be bothered/ didn’t want another beer. I promised the rest of gin to my friend( who got a bottle as Christmas present) and now I’m thinking about making more 😳😱

Did you drink it neat? Did you brew.. or whatever the words.. yourself?

RedTulip86 · 13/01/2019 01:24

Aldi gin and some heritage leftover gin from 2004 found in the cupboard. Mixed with garden raspberries, sugar, cinnamon stick and few cloves in August, rattled in a jar a few times, strained in Nov, hic

I know what you mean, op. Gin makes me feel sick but I did manage to put away some sloe gin (mixed with either lemonade or apple juice), a couple of years ago. It was quite different, bit sweet but OK.

I was quite warm and fuzzy afterwards :-).

Aquamarine1029 · 13/01/2019 02:24

Enjoy the warm and fuzzy! Sleep it off tomorrow.

I couldn’t stomach gin and tonic until I realised that it was the tonic I hate. Raspberry gin with ginger ale is lush.

blackheartsgirl · 13/01/2019 03:20

I discovered flavoured gin late. Hate gin but love the parma violet and tonight i tried the rhubarb flavoured one. Omg it was lovely

BBInGinDrinking · 13/01/2019 03:26

I grew up drinking gin. When I was 13 I used to put makeup on and go the pub with my Parents. My drink was Gin and Orange.

I stopped drinking at 16 and didn't start again until my 30's. 'my' drink was white rum and I avoided all the gin thing, because of the memories of hangovers.

Until Christmas 2018. Ive just finished off the last of the Gin last night. I did a cocktail with Sloe Gin, Lemonade, cranberry juice and a dash of orange, over ice.

Monday I'm starting my 'new me' regime. With only once a month alcohol, if that.

I've been told that there's a rose Gin in Asda that's really nice.
