How do you get a splinter out of your tongue?

That's it really.
It's a splinter of bone from a goose wing I was gnawing on tonight Blush

Tweezers, a bright light ( phone torch is usually good) a steady hand and an enlarging mirror.

Ladygaggia · 12/01/2019 22:47

Hmmm...I just seem to be pushing it further in.
It's the bumpy squishy nature of the tongue!

Can you squeeze it so a bit of it is poking out and somebody else tries with the tweezers?
If you can’t get it out go to A&E or walk in center tomorrow.
It would be horrible if it got infected.

DH is getting long sighted and couldn't focus.
I'll wait until DD is home from work ask her to look.
What a ridiculous problem! Lol

I came on to say how the fuck do you get a splinter in your tongue but you had a perfectly reasonable explanation. Grin

buttyblahblah · 12/01/2019 23:09

My first thought was what on earth have you been licking?

Ladygaggia · 13/01/2019 10:12

Seriously there are so many jokes to be had here.
The splinter seems to have gone in further and I can't see it anymore.
DH says the tongue is the fastest healing muscle in the body and not to worry.
Grin
I told him I wouldn't be sucking on any more bones

How did you get a splinter into your tongue?

Aprilshowerswontbelong · 13/01/2019 10:13

Ice pack? Then tweezers -

olderthanyouthink · 13/01/2019 10:29

I thought you'd say you were sucking on wood but it turns you you were sucking on a bone which is obviously much more reasonable. Wink

Just go get a doctor to look at it and give you a note excusing you from sucking anything other than an ice lolly
