Difference in weight between you & your DP

I was just interested... what's the difference between weight between you and your DP?
Currently the difference between DH and I is 22kg, so if my 7yo and I stood on the scales we would equal him. When I met DH there was probably only just over 10kg difference (I was over a st heavier and he was much lighter), and if it's relevant, he's about 7in taller than me.

I'm about 5kg heavier. I'm more muscly :)

lljkk · 12/01/2019 23:31

I know b/c... we've been together 22 yrs & we haven't hardly changed in that time. Occasionally we check the numbers & find it useful to remember them.

Do you never have any chance to find out, or is it something you'd never want to discuss, Motortroll?

BeeMyBaby · 13/01/2019 07:29

Really interesting, thank you for all the replies. I thought there was quite a big difference in weight between DH and I but now I know that actually it's less of a difference than most couples. Also I have learnt that there must be a way for him not to flatten me if you all can survive being laid on by your DPs.

Why is he lying on you?! Does he not hold his weight up with his arms?

OrcinusOrca · 13/01/2019 07:35

I'm nearly a stone heavier.

I'm 5'9 and 10 st and he's 5'8 and 9.2 stone.

AlbusPercival · 13/01/2019 07:36

I’m about 6 stone heavier than DH

EmmaGrundyForPM · 13/01/2019 07:38

When I met dh he weighed 10 1/2 stone and I weighed 9. He is 6'1" and I'm 5'5".

Many years and two children later he's gained a stone and I've gained 2 Blush so we're now very similar weights. I am on a mission to lose at least a stone and hes trying to lose 1/2 stone.

Racecardriver · 13/01/2019 07:41

30kg roughly. DH is taller and wider (are way way more muscular than I am).

Waitingonasmiley42 · 13/01/2019 07:42

I'm now around 8.12-9 stone and he is usually about 10.7-10.12. I'm almost 5ft 4 and he's almost 6ft.

BeeMyBaby · 13/01/2019 07:52

SoyDora he does try to hold himself up on his arms but he's obviously not doing it well as otherwise I would be able to freely breathe. I will definitely make comments if I get squished again!!

I'm one of very few to say that I'm heavier although this has only become the case in the last couple of months as I've put on weight for no discernable reason (age?) And he has been trying to lose weight. He's 5 ft 7 and weighs 9 st 13and I'm 5 ft 5 and weighs 10 st 5. It really really bothers me!

Stormwhale · 13/01/2019 08:00

Ordinarily dh would be over 3 stone heavier than me. I'm pregnant at the minute, but usually I am 9.5 stone and he is 13 stone 4. He goes to the gym to weight train and eats loads to maintain that weight as he naturally loses weight far too easily.

Nitw1t · 13/01/2019 08:02

We weigh about the same.

He's about an inch shorter than me.

Nitw1t · 13/01/2019 08:03

bluesheep you're not the only one. Normally DH is lighter than me, about half a stone. In our case, he's caught me up recently!

Crustaceans · 13/01/2019 08:09

I’m 58kg (9st 1lb). My BF is about 10 1/2 st I think. We’re both 5’6. His extra weight is pretty all muscle.

BillywigSting · 13/01/2019 08:16

We weigh about the same. He's about 5ft6 and I'm just under five foot. He's very slim and I'm quite overweight atm (that is changing though!)

There used to be about three stone between us when I was very thin and he had a bit more muscle.

Dimsumlosesum · 13/01/2019 08:21

We used to be kind of the same (I'm only just shorter than him), but he's really got into exercise lately so he's way less than me now.

GreenHatHacker · 13/01/2019 08:23

beemybaby Isn't the saying 'a gentleman makes love on his elbows?' ;)

GerrysSuccessor · 13/01/2019 08:26

I weigh about 6st more than my husband and he’s 9 inches taller than me. He’s not been well and has got very thin as a result. But even then, I am very overweight and he’s very slim.

Chasingsquirrels · 13/01/2019 08:29

I'm 5'7".

H1: shorter than me, maybe an inch. Probably weighted less when we met (18) as he was very thin. About the same for most of our relationship. Although no real idea as don't know what either of us weighed.

DH2: he was 6'2" and weight about 15 to 17 stone. I was probably about 11 to 12 stone and crept up to 13. I lost weight (doing 5:2) and dropped to about 9.5-10 stone. He dropped a bit of weight doing the same.

Current DP: he's about 5'10" and weighs about 11-12 stone I'd think. I weight about 9.75-10 stone

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 13/01/2019 08:33

I'm about 2 stone heavier than him at the moment (but I'm losing weight so hope to be the same as him by easter or so). We're exactly the same height. He's a couple of stone overweight himself though.

fatpatsthong · 13/01/2019 08:49

Used to be the same but given he is a foot taller than me this wasnt great.

Now about 4/4.5 stone. I am a stone overweight and he is top end of his bmi. He looks more overweight than I do though as he has weight on his tummy and face and mine is on arse/thighs. And he was smug and insensitive this morning

fermezzlabouche · 13/01/2019 08:55

Husband is around five stone heavier than me, but also 1ft 3 inches taller.

He's a healthy weight, and I'm a size 12 but should be a 10 really.

Isth · 13/01/2019 08:59

Probably a 4-4.5 stone difference. I’m a 10 at 5’8” and he’s about 6’ and solidly built (manual job!)

JudiDenchsBloomers · 13/01/2019 09:25

Me: 5'7
DH: 6'0

DH is 22kg heavier than me.
