How to prevent skid marks in toilet bowl (either via diet or clean up tips)

Loka123 · 12/01/2019 19:29

I mean the ones that leave streaky marks at the bottom of the toilet bowl, which remain even after flushing 2-3 times.

The laying down loo roll beforehand only helps a bit as during the flush, it gets into contact with the bottom of the loo and can still leave marks..

..... and not all bathrooms have toilet brushes in them..

Any dietary tips and/or cleaning tips appreciated.

Thanks

The only way I'd get rid of them is by kicking DH out... sorry, not helpful!

Bleach and/or jug of very hot water. Or rubber gloves !

Toilet brush. If there isn't one provided kit much you can do about it.

Bleach

I use cheap thick bleach, leave it I the pan for half an hour and then flush, if it's still there scrub with a disposable little pan brush, I get both in Wilko.

More fibre in the diet. Less meat (contains no fibre).

Pre poo pour lots of thick pine type loo cleaner around bowl and into water it will help stop poo sticking to the sides and pan ...usually 😨

Give the kids laxitives shortly before dropping off at school? (They'd get sent home wouldn't they though... Sad)

Dunno. The pain is real.

When I eat healthy I don't leave a trace, eat fatty carby food and it's like a horror show Grin

ChesterGreySideboard · 13/01/2019 18:22

Use a toilet brush.

Laying down loo roll first is a sure way to a blocked loo or jnpleasant for next person to find.
