Science-y “where babies come from” book for 5.5 year old

Today we saw a pig give birth, which was totally awesome, and led to a few more questions about things like why there was blood. I offered to get her a book on where babies come from, so now I trying to find a good one for her. She already knows about seeds and eggs, and that the penis goes in the vagina.

I considered “When mummy laid an egg”, but I think she would prefer something more biological. I intend to read it to her initially, answer any questions and then leave it with her. Any recommendations?

The body book by Claire Rayner. It covers it all!

I second Let’s Talk. It’s brilliant.
