Don't you want to lynch Carillion? Is that brand, spanking new hospital up and running yet??

It wasn't 'old' at all, was it? Just did what I should have done before posting, and Googled. Sorry.

Now, where do the execs of Carillion live?...... how can they sleep at night?

I remember the crumbling hospital being new!

I shouldn't be surprised that Carillion didn't pay all of the suppliers because I've known it happen to small businesses, but you do expect better from a company that gained Government contracts.

The Royal was out of date.

I've spent months in there at a time as an in patient, since 2008. There wasn't even oxygen points at every bed on what was supposed to be a pneumonia ward.

We had to share a lighter small bottle of oxygen to shower with. Then go back to the big cylinders.

The layout isn't good. Don't get me wrong we've got excellent services and are lucky in Liverpool to have the hospitals and clinics that we do.

It isn't just Carillon though, there's many Council/Planners etc who all duped the public and have got away with it.

For me the biggest tradegy is the city losing two Banksy.

Birdsgottafly · 11/01/2019 23:54

Is out of date, that should be.

Miljah · 12/01/2019 00:12

My point is there's a brand new, equipped, shiny building right next door that Carillion were paid to 'make happen'- who went bankrupt. Thus your DGH is utterly not fit for purpose!

The whole things a huge mess, a brand new hospital just waiting there, almost finished, they reckon another 10 months. The staff must be so frustrated.

Tootyfilou · 14/01/2019 15:50

How anyone could vote Tory after watching this. Those bastards from Carillion protected by this government swanning iff with their huge bonuses when patients suffer and staff work in appalling conditions.
Would love to think they would be prosecuted and jailed but doubt it will ever happen.

Sirzy · 14/01/2019 15:53

The whole thing has become a farce. The emotion from the staff about the facilities they are having to work in speaks volume.

No shock that Theresa May went to the shiny new (fantastic!) alder hey to launch her nhs plans yet ignored the mess just up the road
