Cheapest way to return three pairs of football boots to store - post office or courier?

DS needs new football boots - we have ordered three pairs but none of them fit his wide feet and I need to return them and pay the postage costs.

Is there a way to send them that would be cheaper than posting via Royal Mail?

I would recommend sending them where you can get proof they’ve received the item.

I have my own business and send both via courier and Royal Mail as the price can be substantially different depending on the size ( sometimes Royal Mail has been cheaper)

If you know the size of the package that’s being returned and also a rough weight I’d price compare courier on something like parcel2go and then Royal Mail. It takes a few minutes. I use parcelforce as you can drop off at the post office to save waiting in all day. Some of their services with parcelforce come with a standard higher amount coverage in insurance with price comparison sites sometimes charging more for the insurance.

Couriers are very easy to use and there are others not just parcelforce where you can drop the parcel off at local shop.

Thank you - thats really useful - i will see if there is a weight on the outside of the package - I didn't know you could send via Parcelforce at the post office so will check that out.

Thanks again!

Parcel 2 Go will show you which is cheapest.

You’re welcome! I think it maybe cheaper online to arrange the parcelforce delivery and drop off at post office. But worth checking comparison site.

If you’re unsure on the weight I would ask the post office to weigh it and the I’d do a comparison after.
