Where to look for a job

It's been many years since I looked seriously for work.

Where do you look? It's like the job centre has disappeared!

Any particular sector you're looking to work in? Many have their own websites e.g. Jobs.ac.uk for jobs (at all levels) in universities or Charity Job.

Other than that there are websites like Indeed, Gumtree (for basic employment) and websites of local newspapers.

Interestingly enough Indeed is now starting to capture job adverts posted in shop windows (crowdsourced) but wandering around your local town looking for signs in windows can also be effective.

FindAJob. That's the job centre website. Indeed is good too.

It's a whole new online world.

Try www.indeed.co.uk/

The Jobcentre job search website I should say.

Indeed.co.uk
Job centre jobs are via gov.uk - jobs
Our local paper has very few jobs advertised - pretty useless.
