How attractive do you consider yourself to be

For your age, have you aged well, given up, had help, feel inner beauty, always felt ugly, means a lot to you, means nothing to you? Do you have good days, bad days?
Also any tips and advice to share.

I'm the ugliest person I know. Probably 1 or 2/10. I'm a bit over weight. I have terrible psoriasis. on my head it is getting me down the most. It's making my hair fall out. On
my arms people stare at all the time, it's embarrassing. I have my hair up every day as it's unruly. I'm not great at makeup and I'm pale without it.
I have nice teeth. I got them done recently.
The rest of me is crap lol. I'd love to look better and I do try but it makes no difference. I hate photos and avoid them.
I was just saying earlier that I'd love to be me but look totally different.

metronome1 · 10/01/2019 22:36

Oh I'm just gone 30 forget to say

Whatabloodymessthisis · 10/01/2019 22:37

Some of these comments are so sad and I truly feel for the people who don’t see themselves as attractive in any way.

contblin · 10/01/2019 22:42

My partner thinks I'm gorgeous and I do catch men looking but I have cripplingly low self esteem. Confidence has grown somewhat after having my daughter, in my eyes she's perfect and I made that, so I can be that much of a gremlin

U2HasTheEdge · 10/01/2019 22:43

Average really. I don't turn heads. I am not ugly.

I become better looking around aged 30 though.

Dreadful. All of the time. I’m fat and frumpy. I’m disabled and I’ve given up caring how I look to be honest as I wouldn’t inflict myself on another poor bloke the state I’m in.

ohtheholidays · 10/01/2019 23:50

To awnser your last questions no I've never had anything done.

I wouldn't want to change the way I look and my weight I'm already changing,I was always tiny until I had my 5th DC and got really ill afterwards and put on weight.I'm doing slimming world and I've already lost 2 stone but I know I've been very lucky because even with the extra weight on I still had an hour glass figure.

Medicaltextbook · 11/01/2019 00:06

I’m probably OK,reasonable. I might look better with makeup, never worn any bit late now (40s). OTOH people say I have good skin and nails, maybe because I haven’t used many products/weakened my nails.

I don’t like seeing myself though because I have cerebral palsy and clothes don’t hang right. I don’t like the spasticity in my right arm/hand and the way it looks. I feel bad about it, like I should embrace my disability, but the truth is I don’t.

CocoLoco87 · 11/01/2019 00:27

I reckon I'm a solid 7. I've just asked DH and he's done a nervous giggle and he reckons I'm a 9 in my gym gear, but a 4 in my work clothes (although now he's trying to tell me he said 'fwoar' Grin)

I'm early 30's and I think I look my age but I have nice clear skin and a nice smile, but I am a bit overweight atm.

SapphireSeptember · 11/01/2019 00:27

I'm sure I heard a bloke say 'beautiful' to me in passing today (technically yesterday now) but I couldn't swear to it. (I had my headphones on, and my hood up.) But hey, I'll take it. Grin

I'm 30, quite short and a tad overweight, but think I have a nice face, I have an interesting sense of style, and my hair is very long which makes people look. When I was in my early 20s I got chatted up a few times and wondered what men saw in me!

Stompythedinosaur · 11/01/2019 01:03

I used to feel ugly. These days, despite knowing that most people who probably see me as frumpy and unattractive, I actually feel quite happy with how I look. I think my look is nice and suits me. I also think I have a nice smile and eyes.

AmIthatbloodycold · 11/01/2019 02:46

When I was younger I was ugly but had a good figure

Now I'm old, I'm still ugly but fat too. I'd say I was a 3 at best

Never got attention, feel invisible. Would love a partner but no one even looks at me

Deathraystare · 11/01/2019 11:05

Well I am about 4-5 stone overweight, Awful haircut. However, the extra padding in my face means I have less lines! Someone has said I have nice eyes and mouth. I quite like my nose. I do try to dress ok but am not a 'classic' dresser. I would find that too boring!

What I hate are my teeth and stomach.

Redgreencoverplant · 11/01/2019 12:08

Probably a 5. Just bog standard really. I was convinced I was ugly all through my teens as no boys at school were interested. I was told as an adult by a former class mate that it was a mix of being intimidated as I was a high achiever and considering me one of the boys as I had lots of male friends. Am happily married now and my husband thinks I am gorgeous so nothing else matters. And my DS who is two regularly tells me I am beautiful so he is clearly in need of an eye test Grin

Camomila · 11/01/2019 12:32

Age 31 - look my age in work clothes or if I'm tired, look mid 20s if I'm well rested.

7/10 I guess? Normal/Pleasant face. Nice hair. Size 6/8.

Completely luck rather than any effort on my part.

I do feel ugly though when I go to the opticians and try new glasses frames. I never like any.

AnotherPidgey · 11/01/2019 12:33

7? I have a small build so don't tend to get much male attention compared to busty friends (really not a problem Grin) but I have a natural kind of prettiness. I'd probably have compared better against the more natural standards of the 90s than current high maintainance trends.

I look young enough that in my late 30s, not having ID on me can be a problem. People tend to get confused that my DCs are school age too.
Although my skin is dry, it's clear. My hair is thick and a pleasant colour so the most exciting thing I ever do to it is putting temporary colour on rather than harsher dying. My features are even and clearly defined so I don't feel the need for regular make-up.

I'm happy in myself. My abdomen took a hit from pregnancy, but a high waist bikini can do wonders. I doubt I could be bothered but a tummy tuck would be the most appealing cosmetic procedure. A bit more bust wouldn't go amiss (then the results of a good lunch wouldn't trigger pregnancy rumours Wink) but a small bust is good for exercise and I'm proud that they nourished my babies so surgery there is unappealing.

icannotremember · 11/01/2019 12:35
  1. Can push it to 6 if I pull out all the stops but that's a once in a blue moon thing. I'm ugly, these days I'm also fat, I don't have a great sense of style and I'm not a whizz with hair and makeup. Aging isn't helping either.
Outfoxed · 11/01/2019 12:38

I think I’m kinda cute at times and I have great hair (Pratchett fans might know what that also implies 😂). A solid 5 I reckon. Suitably average.

MamaDane · 11/01/2019 12:41

Current weight makes me a 4/10 but before I'd say an 8/10. I've put on 5 stones that I am in the middle of getting rid of.

happydays00 · 11/01/2019 12:54

I'm 32.

I'd say I'm a solid 7 possibly pushing an 8 when dolled up. Ans a solid 5 in my natural state (I'm told I have a pretty face and am petite with hourglass figure) but I'm very pale (sickly looking and not that fabulous pale skin) and WFH so live in tracksuits / leggings, no make up and a bun.

I'm ok with it

If I could choose to change my weight or my looks it would 100% be my weight as I gain 2kg just looking at a doughnut!

cantfindname · 11/01/2019 12:57

I am incredibly ugly Grin

Always have been, but, you know what? I have never been without a boyfriend or OH. I am reliably informed it's because I am 'nice inside' Which doesn't help when I look in a mirror and crack it

Schuyler · 11/01/2019 13:01

I’m ugly and fat, like objectively fat. I still try to make an effort. I am lucky that I have young looking skin but that’s about it. I wish I was less ugly.

Oddsocksandmeatballs · 11/01/2019 13:02

I think I blend into the background which is fine by me. I am 55 but my skin is quite good and my hair is still a natural dark brown, I am a size 12 and tall. My partner loves how I look though and that is what matters to me.

Lndnmummy · 11/01/2019 13:02

I never ever worry about how I look. I realise this might be weird as I worry about pretty much everything else. I’m very average I think. Short, “curvy” but I dress well, have good hair and teeth and have perfected the no make up make up look. I’m no supermodel but I am content every time I look in the mirror. I’m kind and giving, smiley and welcoming and I know that people like being around me. I think (have been told several times) that I’m one of those people who are really comfortable in their own skin and that the confidence makes them attractive? I’m not confident really but I dress well in what suits me and am well turned out. Beyond that I don’t give it a second thought.
