Looking to change make-up, 49, bad skin - please help!

I have been using Estee Lauder Double Wear for about 5 year now. I like it for the goof coverage but it can look a bit 'cakey' or mask like.

I am 49 now and have suffered crap skin since my early teens. Mild acne which flares up very frequently; mild rosacea which gives me blotchy uneven skin tone with very red basis. Also prone to be oily so makeup disappears within a few hours, coupled with dry patchy bits.

To add to this I am very pale, auburn hair and green eyes

My makeup routine is in SUCH a rut and I really want to update it.

I want to look polished and professional. I am very senior in work, the CEO. I need to feel confident and at the moment I really don't.

I am back on a mild dose of tetracycline for my most recent flare up and skin is settled somewhat now but I still feel REALLY depressed sometimes when I catch myself in the mirror and see uneven foundation where it has oil-slicked off my nose and forehead etc.

Can anyone recommend some good make up?

I was thinking Bobbi Brown as used it before years ago but can't remember why I changed that time...

All recommendations very gratefully received!

Have you tried Clinique? They do a really good powder to cream foundation that stays in place and doesn't look too heavy. If your skin tends to oiliness, their skincare might suit you, though I'd avoid the alcohol-based toners as they irritate. La Roche Posay do a clarifying skincare range (Effaclar) for blemished skin as well.
