Do you regret it? What did you do about work?

Have a house in London. Ridiculously large mortgage. Stressful job. Always on rightmove looking at beautiful houses in random places for half the price of my current place or less.

Anyone actually done it? What's the reality like?

In my dreams I'd be able to quit work at the same time as I'd be mortgage free...that may not actually be realistic!

We moved from London to Yorkshire but prior to buying a house. We had studied where we moved to so we did know the area a bit. It worked for us don't regret leaving London.
But we have lived overseas a couple of times since moving so that mixes it up a bit.

I did it over 30 years ago. The disparity in the wages was a bit of a downer, but I don't know if that would still be the case (London to west country). I have never regretted it, and if I hadn't done it I wouldn't have met my oh 23 years ago, so I'm glad I did.
