Should I take this job?

Sorry if this should be in legal matters, I wasn't sure!

Been trying to get out of an awful job for the last 5 years (I would of been there 7 years this year.) I've been PG 3 times in the last 3 years which hasn't helped (1 DC 2 MC both at 12 weeks. Lots of time in hospital plus 8 month maternity leave.) so this has all put a spanner in job hunting. V low paid manual job, bad management.

Been offered a great job, BUT it's maternity cover Confused we've been TTC again for the last 4 months. DS will be eligible for free hours in September, if I stay in current job I might get 30 hours plus Mat pay if I need it. If I move then get PG I'll be out of a job, might get mat allowance not sure and he'll only get 15 hours. But I might not get PG, then feel resentful I'm still stuck in a job I hate. I don't want to put off TTC cos every month that passes is a missed opportunity, and I might have another loss.

I'm tying myself in knots and I have to let them know today. Help!

I would wary of the fact it is maternity cover whether I was TTC or not. What happens when it ends? Are you likely to be able to find another job quickly?
Will you struggle financially if you get PG and cannot get back to work until after baby?

They reckon I could easily jump into an internal vacancy but no guarantees, and obviously not if I was PG
