Any teachers? Quick question

Is it true that for science only, grade 4 gcse is a fail? Can't find a definitive answer online. DD's upset as she got a 4 in physics mock and was hoping for a 5 or 6. She's under the impression it's not classed as a pass, is that right?

Not just for Science. This year, anything below a 5 is classed as too low for Achievement 8 figures. Not sure whether 6th form colleges take the same stance, though.

Oh really? Ok thanks. Will have to work out what to do. She did really well in everything else so is gutted that this will affect 6th form applications.

Technically '1' is a pass.

To do A-levels where I live though you need a 4 or above.
