Car seats!!!!!

Can anyone please recommend a car seat for a 6 month old? I have a chicco one just now with the isofix base but I really hate it. The base makes the seat tilt too far forward and it just doesnt't look comfortable or safe to me. Luckily my DD hasn't been in it much but we have a longer journey next month and I want an alternative. Any advice appreciated. Want to keep her rear facing for as long as possible.

What car have you got and what centiles for height and weight is your dd?

It might be worth you buying the next stage seat now, something like an axkidd rekid is suitable from 6months and should last rear facing until 5 or 6. It fits most cars too.

If you want another infant carrier, you can't really go wrong with a joie juva, and at £40 it's pocket friendly.

Some cars make any seat tilt badly though (Audi and BMW can be bad for that), and using isofix can make the situation a lit worse. Have you tried your seat buckled in to see if it's flatter?

I have a Joie stages, you can probably stay rear facing til 3-4. It's a buckled seat and quite reclined.

Google the in car safety centre. It totally depends on your car

I actually thought it might be the car. The seats are already quite tilted in the back. I'm wondering if I'll have the issue with a new seat aswell. Maybe best to go to somewhere I can try them out in the car before I buy them. Thanks for the advice.

Joie stages here, very good value for money and rear facing til about 3

Tilted seats in cars are such a pain when it comes to fitting car seats. Are you near the in car safety centre at all? They are good WRT rear facing advice.

We've got the Cosatto Come & Go. It's fantastic and it spins which is handy.
My car seats are quite tilted, so a good recline was important to me (MIL has the Joie Stages and apparently DD's head flops forward in it).
