Anyone got weird cold with painful eyes???

I've got horrible cold that started at weekend but alongside that have the most painful eyes. Started with blepharitis which I get occasional or at least I thought it was then got a pimple like spot on eyelid that burst and eye went sore/ itch / sticky so I got conjunctivitis drops from chemist but two days in my eyes are dry and really painful. Has anyone else got this? Can't decide if I might need to ask optician or doctor for appointment....

I’d go to your doctor. I’m not sure if it’s the same but I had flu whilst pregnant and was told I couldn’t take anything, just ride it out. Anyway, I ended up with a sinus infection that bunged me up so much the mucus was coming out of my eyes rather than nose, doctor still couldn’t prescribe anything! Then ended up with conjunctivitis! (Couldn’t medicate for that either being pregnant!)

Anyhoo, try a good steam for 20 minute bouts, But yes, get back to the doctors I’d say

Thanks ended up at doctors today and he reckons it's flu type thing. Really weird my thumb and fingers swelled up and he thinks it's all connected. Offered to sign me off but hoping a couple of days rest and I'll be ok 🤞
