Help! Need a cat name!

I've unexpectedly acquired a kitten that is arriving tonight. She has no name and I suddenly cannot think of a single cat name that I like! She's white with tabby markings, and we already have Ronnie and Coco.

DP wants Ripley or Jonesy, we're quite into films but I can't think of any film character names I like for a cat. Only ones I think I like at the moment are old fashioned lady names like Dorothy or Betty.

Any suggestions before she gets here?

She is absolutely Princess Leia: look at those markings!

Ownedbypoppycat · 08/01/2019 20:19

She looks like a “poppy”
She is gorgeous

Prudence, Prue for short. She is gorgeous!

I like your dp's suggestion of Ripley, it suits her. Other ideas:
Arwen
Ilsa
Luna

IndigoSpritz · 08/01/2019 20:38

She's mainly white so her name should be Blanche.

TheGirlOnTheLanding · 08/01/2019 20:41

Scout

bellissimiaow · 08/01/2019 20:41

Thank you for all the suggestions, it's so hard! I went out to pick up some cat litter and came back to find dp and dd had come up with Billie which I love (I'm a Billy Idol fan Blush)

She's arriving in the next half an hour so we'll see whether she suits it when she's here!

Having said that I love Scout!

I'm interested to know how one "unexpectedly acquires" a kitten OP?
Just asking for a friend Wink

Icklepup · 09/01/2019 08:55

Where's the cat and what's her name?!!

bellissimiaow · 09/01/2019 17:11

She's here and she's so tiny, her owner says she's 9 weeks but she seems too small so I wouldn't be surprised if she was only 6 or 7 Sad - probably too young to be away from her mummy, but without going into too much detail I think she's better off with us now.

I slept on the sofa and put her in her basket overnight as i didn't want to leave her roaming about in the living room by herself. I was expecting her to cry but she went straight to sleep and I didn't hear a peep from her all night! Bless her.

She's been eating small amounts all day and has used her litter tray. Shes very active and is all over the place, jumping up and down onto the sofa and pouncing on cushions. She's tiny but she's a feisty little thing. I'm going to take her to the vets for a good check over - i can't see any sign of fleas and she seems to have clear eyes and ears etc. so hopefully she'll be ok.

My other two cats are wary but not too upset at the moment. Ronnie who has been the baby up to now is a bit hissy and grumbly so I'm spending extra time with him to hopefully make him feel more secure. Coco is very laid back and has coped fine with 2 new cats previously so I think she'll be ok.

Oh and new kitty is now called Billie - thanks for all your suggestions last night!

Oh my goodness, she is adorable. Lucky you Smile

bellissimiaow · 09/01/2019 17:15

To give you an idea of how tiny she is, this is her having a snooze on the sofa! I'm worried she's younger than they said but she can't go back so we'll just have to feed her up and get her growing.
