4 nights/3 days in Athens late Feb. What would your itinerary include?

One adult, one history mad 17yo.

Literally as little time as possible. It's supposed to be steeped in history but really it's pretty grim, not a nice city at all. I'd get a ferry to an island (lots have historical sites to visit).

I'm not sure about opening times and buses in Feb, but Delphi is great. We got an afternoon bus from Athens, stayed the night, went into Delphi as it opened and then a lunch time bus back to Athens.

The National Museum is also interesting, lots and lots of artefacts.

Spend time in and around Monastiriki. Buzzing atmosphere, restaurants, shops and easy access to the main sights.

And all the obvious places too!

Acropolis, Acropolis museum, Greek and Roman forum. Possibly a trip on the metro to Piraeus although not lots to do there. Art galleries. And if they’re playing go to an Olympiakos match.
