Me & dh are going to Prague for 3 nights mid Feb. It's our first time so would really love to hear tips, restaurant recommendations and best things to do whilst we are there. It's a big birthday for dh so I'm planning on a fancy meal at least one of the nights, also would like to see some live music if possible. Can anyone help?

Lots of food and cocktail opportunities noted! We are staying near the Jewish quarter I think so definitely will include that on our walking tour. I will take trainers as well as boots I think, wondering if snow is likely in February! Shock

Yes to snow in February! We travelled (on very efficient) buses out of Prague through beautiful snow covered countryside.

The cocktail bar near Charles bridge is fantastic. Late night hot dogs in Wenceslas square are great!

Kamenny stull is an amazing restaurant in the old town square. Like many of the restaurants though, the price for eating inside is much much cheaper than if you sit outside to eat. And the food is just as good!

There's a YouTube channel called honest guide and he has tons of videos on anything and everything about Prague. I watched loads before I went it's Defo worth checking them out

Thanks ILoveDaveGrohl ! I'll take a look at them now. Does anybody else have any recommendations for me? Also best way to get from the airport to the centre?

We got a taxi from Prague Airport Taxis. Our flight was due early evening and we didn't want to be stranded if there was a delay. There WAS a delay ... so we were glad we had.

The site is in English and easy to use. Ordered and pre-paid online. The driver spoke basic tourist English and it all worked just fine. They provided a free map (which we used) and a voucher for a 2-hour walking our (which we didn't use).

Choco Story to pick up some chocolate treats!

We did a bus tour where you had a guide and went to Prague Castle, hop on hop off bus - it was really good.

Also did a tour to Terezín (concentration camp) - that was a full day trip (probably got back about 4), but was really good.

I would say John Lennon Wall is good if you're into cool looking pictures/instagram but the last time I saw it on IG it looks like it's mainly graffiti now and not artwork.

Thanks, some great tips here. I hope to fit a lot in, we have 2 full days and 3 nights so want to get the most I can out of it Smile
