Wedding Invite Help

Looking for a bit of advice – I know there is a wedding topic but it is so quiet so I am posting here for traffic.

We are getting married at the beginning of April – second wedding for both of us. The ceremony itself is on Friday at 5pm. It’s register office only and we are having the most basic version, no readings no vows of our own etc – probably be 15 mins from start to finish. After that we are going to the local cricket club for a bit of a party – nothing remotely special just hot buffet and a DJ and probably plenty of booze! Question is, how do I word the invites? Family will obviously want to come to the ceremony and that’s fine but we understand that most people won’t want to sit there watching us two idiots blushing and stumbling over our 10 words – and for us the fewer people the better (just because we are both not good speaking in public/in front of an audience). We are more than happy for people just to turn up and have a good old party/drink/whatever. How can you word an invite to that effect though? Answers on a (ivory embossed scented) postcard. Thanks for any help!
