Tell me if I need an air fryer from Aldi's aisle of wonder

We used to have an actifry but it was second hand and has finally broken. I did like how chips came out in it and how little oil it used. I haven't replaced it because they are very expensive but I've just seen an ambiano air fryer for £30 in the aisle of wonder which has caught my eye mostly due to both looking nicer and being £60 cheaper...

Does anyone have one? Is it similar to the actifry? What can I cook in it?

Thank you in advance wise MN hive mind!

Following with interest as DH and I were only talking today whether to buy one as we saw a WeightWatchers one and a Tower one on sale at fantastic prices (£39:99 and £24:99 respectively) in our local B&M today!!

I'm interested in this too. I do love the Aisles of Shite

I'm sure these were the ones which are technically just a halogen oven type thing instead of a proper air fryer. If you can't stretch to another actifry (they are on offer at £88 at the mo) the Breville Halo is supposed to be very good and cheaper than an actifry

CleanHonestGoals, is correct, that's more like a halogen oven. I used to have one when they fittest came out (different make) and found it very useful. Used to cook a small roast chicken and roast potatoes in it, and it was ready in about 1 hour. Also used it for chops, and other cuts of meat, as well as pies, etc. The model I had wasn't the easiest to clean, but I hardly used my oven when I had it, and found it very quick and convenient .
