Any experience with Norethisterone?!

In January i took Norethisterone for a week to delay my period, when i stopped taking it i started bleeding 2 days later as expected.
I am now on day 35 and nothing apart from horrible cramps on and off for a week. Where has my period gone? Is it normal for them to disappear after taking this tablet?

i surely can’t be pregnant as we only had sex once and used protection. I took a strip test yesterday just to rule it out as well.

It can mess your cycle right up. I tried looking up the ins and outs online, but couldn’t make head nor tail of it! Similar has happened to me whenever I have taken it. Plus very heavy periods the next month too.

And i’ve realised i wrote in January, it was December obviously.

I've been taking 2 a day for months now (3weeks on, 1week off) and it's dramatically improved my life. Before I was put on it, I was having extremely heavy periods that lasted six to eight weeks!
I was initially put on them to stop bleeding so my GP could do a smear test. And then I was kept on them as I needed an internal scan and, later on, multiple cervical biopsies. Periods in the week off tend to last 3 or 4 days and are as light as can be. I would keep taking them forever if my GP would let me As it is, I expect to be taken off them within the next few months and just hope everything will be ok by then.
