On the advice of an old MN thread I found, I have acquired a prescription for Propranolol to take in public speaking type situations. Under pressure I tend to develop the most awful bright red blotchy rash all over my face, chest and neck, and I find it totally debilitating. I'm very very pale, and having seen myself in the mirror after these situations, it looks really scary; I find I've been worrying more about the bloody rash than about the actual stressful situation.

I'll be road testing them tomorrow, and I just wondered if anyone else has any experience of this, and can give me any pearls of wisdom? The GP said to take the pill about 30 minutes before the event, but the MNer on the old thread takes one the day before, one the morning of, and a third 20-30 minutes before, just wondering what other fellow sufferers do.

Thanks!

Hello!

I have been prescribed them for anxiety attacks, I was supposed to take them daily but they gave me night sweats so now I just take them when I think I'm at risk. For example, last year I had to speak at my sisters wedding, so I think I took one in the morning and then one 30 mins before I was due to speak. I had no problems. Whats the doage on your tablet? They can vary!
