Pet flap recommendations for patio doors

Hi all,

I need to have a flap fitted into my patio door for my cat and small dog. I want one that recognises them from a chip in their collar and so only lets them in, not neighbours pets.

Can anyone recommend a suitable product and point me towards it please?

Bumping.
Fully aware that it's a boring topic - sorry!

Sure Flap is one of the best brands (we recommend them for adopters at the cat rescue where I volunteer and all have them ourselves). The Pet Door should be big enough for a dog. If you get the latest Connect model it even has the ability to connect to a hub and then an app to control it from your phone.

If they are glass doors you will need to replace the entire panel though to be able to fit it.

Just to add, it's best to have them both microchipped rather than relying on anything on a collar. The Sure Flap is microchip activated (or you can buy a chip for a collar if your pets are not microchipped).

Another vote for SureFlap - it recognises the animal's microchip beneath their skin and keeps other animals out.

Amazeballs - thank you!

Another Sure Flap fan here. And agree that their microchip should be in their necks - it doesn't cost that much to have them microchipped at the vet - IIRC, I think we paid about £30-£35 for their chips.

I'm wrong, I think the chips were about £20 each.

We have the duo scan Sureflap which means you can programme it individually for each pet so that if one of them needs to be kept inside for any reason, you can do that without changing the settings for the others.

Try the Doghouse on here too (or the Litter tray) - under pets.
