Boys clothes!

Help! Does anyone else struggle buying clothes for their children? I have 2 boys (10 & 11) who are really skinny & I just can't buy trousers/jeans for them. My eldest will only wear skin tight jeans, however his legs are so skinny & his waist is so tiny he is currently wearing age 5-6!!!! But they are WAY to short! He has 2 pairs of these jeans & will not wear anything else. I have to peel them off of him to wash them. My husband says to throw them away as he will then have to let me buy him some new ones. To get them long enough the waists are way to big. Does anyone have similar problems & has found somewhere to buy smaller, longer trousers???

i actually got a pair of these:these and then got them adjusted, so they would fit my son's waist. you could also try a belt like this one here, as it is suitable from 1-15 years and so will be tight enough. all the best x

My friend with a super-skinny 11-year-old buys Chinese brands for him on eBay - they're made with much smaller waists, apparently. Next do a slim-fit option for most of their jeans and trousers.

Primark girls super slim jeans go down to size 0 now.
The boys at my school all wore girls skinny jeans, no one will know, jeans are jeans!

I also put DSs in girls skinny jeans at that age as nothing else fitted properly.
HM and Primark sizing fits much better than Next and M&S for skinny boys.

I find la Redoute trousers come up small and work well for my tiny 13 year old ds.

I buy my 9 year old boy jeans from the girls section and his friends have the same. Jeans are most certainly jeans!

I wouldn’t buy jeans. They’re quite hard to get the right fit with. Other stuff like joggers will be more flexible and easy fit, particularly if you get a drawstring waist.

H&M has been a lifesaver for us. Now DS is a teen he needs very small men's sizes, in "super duper skinny" they look like ordinary jeans Grin

What they said ^

H&M are really good for slim fit trousers. We love their top ranges for boys as well, they have a good variety of prints and styles

My boys hate skinny fit trousers. I am struggling to find any other fit in the supermarkets. I splashed out and bought them new jeans from Next in the end. My two are very tall and skinny and short and skinny.

Some great replies - thank you. Even super skinny isn't skinny enough for my eldest! The ones he is wearing at the moment are H&M so definitely have been the best for us - but still 5-6! The larger ones have such big waists & aren't as super skinny!
