First birthday party ideas

I have my baby’s first birthday coming up, we’re just keeping it to immediate family but I’d like to do something to keep everyone entertained (divorced grandparents so potentially a strange dynamic).

There are 2 babies, 2 children under 6 and the rest adults. Any ideas on any games we could play please? Serving a champagne afternoon tea so hopefully that will be some distraction!

You only really have to play games for the two under 6...so I would keep it very simple and have a craft table out. Let them decorate some brown paper bags or similar...with stickers and crayons. That will be their "goody bag".

Then have a few treats hidden about the garden for them to go on a treasure hunt.

You could have bubbles and so on.

Oh and blow up loads of balloons. In my years experience putting on parties for small DC they love it if there are loads of balloons on the floor and they run around entertaining themselves a lot.
