Is my daughters ELC iron haunted

If I turn the light out her toy iron starts making steaming noises. Turn the light back on and it stops. Repeat this and the noises repeat.

To get the noise usually you need to press a button on the iron.

How can it do this and why?? Anyone know.

Take out the batteries/ pull out the plug?

Throw it in the fire! 😂

Id be leaving a pile of uniform next to it and saying fill your boots out loud!

Ah.. we had a haunted toy steering wheel that would make random loud noises with no provocation at all. I confess it ended up in the bin where it continued to make random noises until it was emptied.For all I know it is now sitting in landfill tooting and 'brrrrm-ing' away to itself.

Are you sure it's not got a light dependent 'thing' underneath? So when you put the plate onto the ironing board it goes dark and makes steam noises, and then also does this when it goes dark?

It's light activated. Pressing the button just covers a light sensor inside so when it is released the noise sounds, is my guess. All our Melissa & Doug peg puzzles with sounds do this, every single night for 6 years I've heard a random sound from it go off. I like to guess which one it will be.

A toy iron amuses me. My kids wouldn't know what they were supposed to role play.
