I’m told not by uni lecturers and other professionals, but as I qualify in May I’m not sure what I will get yet!

It's more how you perform at interview than anything else.

I don't have honours Shock but I am Band 7 Grin and ancient!

Not unless you want to do research. I have a first but nobody cares or knows! My friend has an ordinary degree and is a senior manager.
