Clever people you find sexy

They can be good looking too, but that’s not the main reason you find them attractive. Or they have a good voice on the radio and you have no idea what they look like.

I have gone off him a bit now, but mine used to be Ian Hislop.

No shaming!

Brian Cox

Victoria Coren. Charlie Brooker. That is how they are spelled. Believe it or not, it's not unusual to fancy people because they are clever. I think that it is odd that you think that it is odd.

JaneJeffer · 06/01/2019 19:21

Liz Bonnin is gorgeous. I've seen her in real life.

Luckingfovely · 06/01/2019 19:21

Alexander Armstrong

Oblomov18 · 06/01/2019 19:23

Most of the above.

And Neil Oliver - coast

StormyDaniels · 06/01/2019 19:27

2cats yes now I just find him a bit pompous sadly.

Mark Carney!!!
How have none of you mentioned Mark Carney yet!!!

TeaAddict235 · 06/01/2019 19:32

Only works for men though as society fails to truly appreciate a clever and attractive woman. Look at Carol Vordeman for example.

erinaceus · 06/01/2019 19:33

@RogueV True story: that I fancied Alan Davies was for many years one of the two most terrible secrets about myself that I harboured. I thought this crush the most embarrassing thing ever and you are the first person I have encountered who thinks Johnathan Creek is sexy.

Ah, youth Confused

Also yy Victora C-M not so much because she is clever but for the sense of humour and the presenting skills. And the clothes, I like her clothes.

ConfusionIsNothingNew · 06/01/2019 19:33

Dr Noel Fitzpatrick, the Supervet!! BlushGrin

Barabajagal · 06/01/2019 19:35

CormoranStrike · 06/01/2019 19:36

Richard Osman

PhysaliaPhysalis · 06/01/2019 19:38

Another one for Victoria Coren-Mitchell, David Mitchell and Richard Ayoade.

I also quite liked Hugh Laurie back in his Blackadder / Fry and Laurie days, not sure about now.

ElizabethMainwaring · 06/01/2019 19:40

Don't get me started on Carol Vorderman. She has a THIRD in Engineering. She went to Oxford, and got a third. Words fail me.

ElizabethMainwaring · 06/01/2019 19:41

But of course, she's a mathematical genius...

Cynara · 06/01/2019 19:44

No, MorningsEleven, you can't have Chris Packham all to yourself. You'll have to share nicely.

Ethel80 · 06/01/2019 19:48

Robert Peston for me too, especially now his hair is a bit longer.

Bakingberry · 06/01/2019 19:50

I can't believe no one has mentioned Miles Jupp yetWink

waywardfruit · 06/01/2019 19:54

Ben Miller - both smart and funny.

sanityisamyth · 06/01/2019 20:05

Benedict Cumberbatch

Brian Cox

Rachelsholiday · 06/01/2019 20:12

Brian Cox
Dr Chris Van Tullican (can't spell but saw him live last we and sigh) not Xand though wierdly

EBearhug · 06/01/2019 20:13

I've got quite a thing for a few of those academics on BBC4.

Michael Scott (especially him)
Jago Cooper
Alistair Sooke

I think I could spend a lot of time talking to Andrew Graham-Dixon, too.

ArcheryAnnie · 06/01/2019 20:14

The overgrown-scrubbed-schoolboy look normally does nothing for me, but I watched Ray Mears weave a basket once and was completely blindsided by how attractive I suddenly found him. Competence can be amazingly sexy.

Ethel80 · 06/01/2019 20:15

Ooh yes, Miles Jupp. Jeremy Hardy too. I basically want to shag half the news quiz.

tabulahrasa · 06/01/2019 20:16

“Benedict Cumberbatch”

Is he clever?...
