Very, very worrying. Glad it's become national news so quickly (I believe it happened about 16:30?). Hoping the father has enough details for the police to find the man who was meant to be buying the car.

Also hoping it's just a case of someone panicking and dumping car and child separately???

My gut tells me there is more to this story. Like a custody battle maybe and mother trying to get child back? Seems weird to steal a car with a child in front then abandon the car. If the plan was to steal a child from the start this would be an odd way to go about it. To steal a car yes but not steal a child.

I hope she is found safe and well quickly! However this story is just so odd and confusing. If the person wanted to steal car then why was the car dumped and surely he couldn't know the father would bring the little girl with him so it cannot have been about taking the child?

Horrific. Every parents nightmare.

We had a similar case in Canada years ago, except it turned out there never was a potential buyer and the father had accidentally killed his son and concocted the story to cover it up. Dearly hope that's not the case here and they find her.
