I had to have my Mirena coil taken out as I was In pain (displacement) Dr could not see the strings as they have curled right up so she had to guddle about (her words) as she was basically going in blind. It wasn’t pleasant, it was sore and bloody however she got it out it seemed fine, not broken. I bled heavily 3 days later then on Christmas Day I wasn’t well and started pain and severe itching down there, horrific. Nurse practioner 2 days later, tried an antifungal (I knew it wasn’t thrush) ended up with an infection due to removal so a course of Metronizadole, I’ve finished the course and still no better. Trying to get emergency appointment tomorrow. What’s the next step? Any ladies been through similar?
