I, perhaps stupidly, don’t get what the difference is?

Can you get calls/messages through with the gps one or not?

Can anyone help!

The cellular one is required if you want to be able to not have your phone with you, the other is fine if you're always carrying your phone.

So you only want the cellular if you want to do stuff without your phone being nearby, you will also need to be using EE or Vodaphone currently.

If you carry your phone anyway and just want to not take it out of your pocket etc. then you don't need the cellular one.
