Clothes for plaster cast

My five year old DD has broken a bone in her foot and is in a below knee cast. Does anyone have any tips for what clothes work well with a cast esp. in the cold weather and also things I can do to keep her entertained at home? Thank you.

Dd mainly wore skirts and dresses. I bought her fleecy toe covers to keep her exposed toes warm. I bought her a waterproof cast cover so she could still get showered

Size or two too big Tights with the bottom of one leg cut off (much stretchier over the cast then leggings-enough to get the cut off bit over the cast for above the knee) for really cold days

Those fluffy socks are much stretchier then normal socks for the cast leg

The dad lab science book is full of quick and fun experiments you could do together to keep occupied
