Can you recommend a country hotel in Lancashire?

My parents are paying for us to have a night away as our Xmas present. We are looking for a country pub type b&b/hotel. Preferably under £75 a night and not in the Lake District.
Any recommendations?

The Lake District is in Cumbria.

I got married at the Old mill.in Ramsbottom, which although a small town is right next to Holcombe ,hill, and Holcombe moor etc?

Victoria, I know, but when I type into a search engine “hotel in Lancashire” it keeps giving me hotels in the bloody Lake District!

X2boys, I am leaving the kids too close to Ramsbottom to stay there 😂

Hipping Hall in Kirby Lonsdale, it's absolutely stunning and the chef is Oli from the recent Masterchef.

OnceUponAGiraffe · 05/01/2019 19:52

The Inn at Whitewell? Might well be pricier than that though...

DrFoxtrot · 05/01/2019 19:52

Bugger sorry, just saw under £75 Blush

OnceUponAGiraffe · 05/01/2019 19:54

Oh whitewell has gone up considerably since the last time I stayed there...

Inn at Whitewell

AnyFucker · 05/01/2019 19:57

Oops just seen your price range

You will struggle for something really nice for that money

hidinginthenightgarden · 05/01/2019 19:57

Ah yes both of those are over £150 a night! 😢

hidinginthenightgarden · 05/01/2019 19:58

Try the Gibbon Bridge Hotel at Chipping. Lovely spot.

It's a little bit "take your secretary away for a dirty weekend" but the surrounding countryside is sublime

BobbinThreadbare123 · 05/01/2019 19:59

The Villa at Wrea Green?

accidentalchickenkeeper · 05/01/2019 20:17

Longlands hotel in Carnforth?
Middle Holly cottage in Forton?
Royal Oak hotel in Garstang?

Or as a pp said, Gibbon Bridge?

Hope you have a lovely break wherever you choose Smile

This is by a national trust property and there is a marina you could walk to. No idea about the hotel but the food in the restaurant is very good ruffordarms.com
