Is this a good quote for plumbing work

I have just been quoted £350 to have two radiators attached to my central heating system. This would be for labour and for the pipe work - I would be buying the valves and the two radiators.

I am getting another quote next week, but it was to get an idea of what people think.

Also, do I have to get any certification with work like this - I forgot to ask the plumber.

No one can really tell you if it's reasonable without seeing the job to determine how much labor is involved. Getting another estimate is the best course of action.

I would get three quotes so you have something to benchmark against. As pp says, it depends on the labour involved which could vary a lot. I had 5 radiators changed for £400, but no pipework was required so it was a quick job.

Yes, get three quotes.

I had four radiators fitted and supplied earlier this year.
Labour was 280 and the four radiators plus valves etc was about 290 or something. The plumber bought those as well. It took him just the morning til about 1pm (plus he resealed around the bath)

I got all singles because I didn’t want them sticking out too much so you’ll need to take that into account as well as radiator design. I wasn’t too fussed as they were all going into bedrooms so wouldn’t really be seen.

South -east

No, no kind of certificate needed in the UK.

Thanks a lot.

I think the work will take about a day, so it is essentially £350 for the day. That feels kind of reasonable for where I am, but I will get one or two more quotes.
