Bed recommendations for 4 year old

DD is still in her toddler bed (cotbed) but we're thinking she might benefit from a bigger bed now. Have looked at bunk beds or a single bed with a pull-out bed underneath - no siblings as yet but thinking about cousins staying over as we have a big family. I'm thinking however that we may as well just get a double bed as will last longer and make it easier when I need to stay with her...don't know if she would find it too big on her own?! Thoughts/experiences would be very welcome!

You could get a three quarter bed? It’s like a small double, just a bit bigger than a single . It would be plenty big enough for two children to sleep in. I remember as a child that even a single was big enough for friends to sleep over side by side.

We got a day bed from Ikea. It’s a single bed but it pulls out to make a double if needed. Big drawers underneath for storage too.

Not seen any three quarter beds but will have a look - thanks! Did see one day bed but the mattresses were quite thin, I'm guessing because they stack on top of each other when it's a single?
