Why don’t I seem to be interested in anything in particular?

My husband loves football and sport and movies and music and my friend knows so much stuff about films and actors etc and work colleagues love politics and can have proper in-depth conversations about brexit etc.

I, on the other hand am not into films particularly unless dishy actor is involved or looks very funny. I like music but don’t follow anyone specifically and I don’t have strong views on politics or such things.. I’m shit at quizzes cos I have no general knowledge! Wow have I been abducted and brain washed. Am I the only one? It this normal..

I’m not an air head I have a relatively good job, lack self confidence but have lots of common sense! 😁

I just feel so awkward around people as I can’t converse at their level. Just wondering if there are others the same.

Maybe you just haven’t found what you’re really interested in yet? Or maybe you don’t realise that your interests are actually interests. I am obsessed with makeup brushes for instance, they are definitely an interest of mine, but no one else finds it interesting!

I wouldn’t find talking about films, music or sport interesting.

You can easily expand your general knowledge. The internet will definitely help you there. Decide what you want to know about, and learn more - simple. Then pick another subject. You might come across something you get really into.
