Party invites

Hi, sorry not an exciting one but was wondering generally how quickly you respond to your dcs party invites, sent a few out and only had one response, deadline is Friday as need to order food. It's only be 4 days but expected more response?

I try and respond quite quickly if I can. DH does pick up so don't always get handed them straight away. If there was a deadline then would answer by then. Hopefully people will be catching up with admin at the weekend and get back to you.

I either respond immediately or forget about them until prompted

Could you send a group text/WhatsApp/Facebook message to remind people? That's what I usually do as the inviter.

Will give it till Wednesday and try and WhatsApp who I can, not all in his direct class so don't have contacts for them

If I know DC definitely can’t go I RSVP immediately.

Otherwise I’ll be checking with people to see if anyone’s available to watch my uninvited DC so I can take invited DC to the party, and that can take a few days (so far none of the parties they’ve been invited to are the sort where I can comfortably leave them there).

And occasionally I forget entirely about the invite until i get reminded because something else has distracted me.

I’d send out a reminder.

Usually when I spot the invitation on the notice board and it prompts me. I wouldn’t worry about lack of responses until the rsvp deadline has passed.
