We need to know what it is!!!

MiniMum97 · 04/01/2019 21:26

Why is "I" in inverted commas?

MrsAukerman · 04/01/2019 21:26

And did you teach it to them or did you just happen to do it first? So many questions.

Thiswayorthatway · 04/01/2019 21:26

Are they saying they did whatever it is first?

HollowTalk · 04/01/2019 21:26

I would get in touch with the company he works for and tell them.

ImQuiteTakenAbackByThat · 04/01/2019 21:26

That would totally out me, especially as she is advertising on freaking Facebook!

I assume for emphasis.

ImQuiteTakenAbackByThat · 04/01/2019 21:27

I'm emphasising I, because I did it first and I taught it to them!

Unless it’s something you could get copyright on, not a lot you can do.

WontonSoupForTheSoul · 04/01/2019 21:27

Unless it’s something you invented and copyrighted, I can’t see why you feel they’re not allowed make money from a skill they’ve gained?

Loopytiles · 04/01/2019 21:28

Presumably you could have made a business of it, but didn’t?

ImQuiteTakenAbackByThat · 04/01/2019 21:28

No, it's nothing copyrighted. It's just so weird.

It’s Scrabble tile wall “art”, isn’t it?

ChrisjenAvasarala · 04/01/2019 21:31

You might have taught it, but she learned it. She learned, practiced and became skilled in it and now she's teaching it. That's how the process works.

My job is artistic. I learned in classes. I worked and worked on my skills. I remained friends with the people who taught the classes. But I developed my business, made a name for myself and now I teach this skill on classes I run.

That's how business works. You learn, you improve and you incorporate it into developing the business further. That includes teaching if it's a viable option.

You might have taught her but you don't own her or the skill and you don't have a monopoly on running classes.

Grin No, it's glittering names on wine glasses.

(it isn't)

I wish someone would do seminars on my behalf..... I am bored to tears repeating my self over and fucking over. They could charge as much as they liked do long as I didn't have to plaster on the "so pleased you could make it" smile

Sitranced · 04/01/2019 21:46

That's how teaching works. You teach they learn, they teach.
