Just that really. We have a little Dyson for eg the stairs, small jobs, but I'm looking to buy a new one, maybe cordless, as the main one.

Please tell me if you have a good one.

Shark.

Miele. Definitely not a cordless Dyson - ours is hopeless and I end up getting the old Miele out to do the job properly.

HammerHorror · 04/01/2019 20:51

Miele cat & dog

MissMarplesKnitting · 04/01/2019 20:54

Miele.
First one lasted twelve year and two house extensions before sounding a bit wheezy. It's replacement is even better.

They consistently top the which? reviews.

Shark lift away duo clean!

Another rec for the Miele Cat and Dog. I've also owned a Dyson and a Vax in the past, and the Miele is miles above both in quality and power.

melissasummerfield · 05/01/2019 14:35

Shark wins hands down for me too !

Second Crumbelina!

Shark now do the liftaway duo clean in a cordless version. I've had mine for 2 months and it's fabulous.

BubonicWoman · 05/01/2019 16:18

Shark

Jins · 05/01/2019 16:21

Another vote for shark. My basic liftaway arrived yesterday and I couldn’t believe what the dyson had missed.

PipsM · 05/01/2019 16:24

We love our shark. Wish I’d got the cordless one though...

windydoggy · 05/01/2019 16:25

I have always had the good old orange vax .
On my second one in 25 years so very long life .
Drawbacks are it's bulky but love the fact it doesn't block as pipe straight into machine so no narrow bendy bits to block .

  • when we have a flood which has happened many times , washing machine I'm looking at you ... just need to put water collection bucket thingy in and sucks up all water beautifully. Great for car too with tools to fit into every nook and cranny . Oh and great price too Oh and material dust bag you can empty straight in bin rather than buying new bags when full .

Shark lift away

sabrinathethirtysomethingwitch · 05/01/2019 16:42

Miele

moanyhole · 05/01/2019 16:52

Tesco one that looks like a dyson knock off. I have it a year now and the suction is amazing. Brilliant value for money. Cost me 50 euro. It even tops the miele I use at work.

SarahET · 05/01/2019 16:53

Love love love my shark
