Cost of laying laminate flooring

Please can you give me some idea of how much per metre squared you paid to have your flooring put down? I have bought all the laminate, put the membrane down and now need it fitted. One quote I have for 35m2 is £900 which equates to £25 per metre squared. Seems an awful lot to me. But I could be wrong and this is the going rate?

We’ve just had kitchen, hall and downstairs loo done. We picked a “mid range” that sound last 20 years - I think it was £22 per square metre and we paid £250 for fitting (took a day and a half)
It looks fabulous and easy to care for.

So £900 just for fitting is a bit expensive then? Hmm 2 days work apparently.

Defo worth shopping around I would say. We are in the north and that price was for fitting through an independent company. It is a skilled job though.

I used v cheap b&q laminate and it looks shit to be honest. Definitely go up the range if you can afford it.
