Can anyone help me figure out this ESA payment?

I was due my usual fortnightly payment of £146.something on Boxing Day, but it came on the 21st. No issue there, figured this was due to the Christmas holidays. This would mean that my next payment is due today - except I've had a payment on Wednesday - but only for half the usual amount, £73.something.

What's going on? It hasn't been two weeks and it's not the right amount either, I was expecting it next Wednesday

Dwp cock up. Made a one week payment.

I've had the Same Payments return to normal after 21st January
My guess is someone pressed the wrong button after the Christmas party

The early Christmas payment doesn't affect your usual payment day, that will still be a Wednesday. Next Wednesday you'll receive a one week payment, then the fortnight after it will go back to normal.

There is some disagreement as to whether it's an error or intentional to ease the longer period between payments. Either way, it will go back to normal later in the month.

There was problem with payments. They issued one week only. meant to issue the subsequent paymen t the week after

personally I would ring esa to check or ask your jobcentre to check your claim
