I feel so sad about it. He was so full of life.

Sorry to here this. A man I went through school with recently committed suicide. We wasn't friends at school or after but I still felt some sadness as I knew him and I knew that he had a wife and a child so I felt sadness for them too.

I think it's normal to feel sad if you know someone and something tragic has happened even if you aren't friends
