My mattress is 10 years old so really should have bought a new one, but I went for the lazy/ cheap option of a £45 memory foam mattress topper from Argos. It. Is. Brilliant. I never want to get out of bed again!

Toppers really are a game changer.

If you do need a new mattress, I 100% recommend the bog standard basic ikea one. Dead cheap, and a Which? best buy- the comfiest bed I've ever owned!

Are the ikea mattresses standard size? I bought some sheets from there once and they were a weird in between size.

I'm with you OP.

I bought my Kids mattress toppers from Dunhelm when they left home for Uni which meant they went through their Uni years sleeping comfortably rather than having to endure uncomfortable (and not that clean) student accommodation mattresses. It's my standard top-tip for things to buy Uni students. Smile

Sweet dreams 😴😴
